A DCP is a “Digital Cinema Package” and is like a digital film print, and is use for world wide digital theatrical distribution.
Digital Cinema Mastering can be done from many formats, such as HDCAM SR, QuickTime, and DPX files at 2k, 4k, & 3D stereoscopic projects. Our colorist will manage the color space conversions necessary and apply the necessary luts from log, Rec. 709 or p3 RGB to XYZ & check the image in our theater. DCP’s can be encoded with or without encryption. For encrypted D-Cinema packages, we generate KDM’s (a key to allow the film to be viewed for a specific time on a specific D-cinema server).
