For industry professionals, assistant colorists and newer colorists. This is an intermediate level class, that covers some basic color theory and an in depth look at color tools. It also suggests grading strategies, and session management. There will be a Digital Vision Nucoda Film Masters to demonstrate, but the course content is not system specific and is useful for using and comparing all grading devices.

For anyone with access to or experience with grading equipment. This is an intermediate level class, that covers Popular Looks and an in depth discussion on how and why to create them. Each technique finishes with variations and ideas to explore. There will be a Digital Vision Nucoda Film Masters for demonstration and hands on, but colorists of all systems are welcome.

The ICA is adding the following new course to their October 2011 schedule:
The 1 day course is to be presented on October 31st. The class is for industry professionals, DOPs, colourists, digital imaging technicians, assistant colorists, newer colorists and editors. The course will cover basic color science of color temperature, color space and monitor setup. Followed by profiling monitors and projectors and then using those profiles to create LUTs to calibrate, match and emulate other monitors or mediums such as film print. We will touch on using the LUTs as creative grading tools as well as calibration. We will use THX cineSpace software and ICA is an official THX partner.
