New Approaches to Film Restoration in an ACES Environment – Image Systems will discuss The ACES environment and how it offers the potential for improvements in how film material is restored. Its wider gamut can allow more original content to be recaptured, processed and distributed as the original filmmakers intended. Combining ACES with OpenEXR and HDR tools provides even more latitude for uncovering the beauty and original intent of archival footage while simultaneously allowing for a “future-proof” Digital Master.
From Camera to Digital Cinema: Keith Roush, founder and senior colorist of Roush Media, will be providing a short live DI color grading session in the DI Theater with a Barco projector and Nucoda grading system to show practical use of OPEN EXR HDR grading for today’s all digital film projects.
